Print Guide & Fabric Care Instructions
Fabric & Print Guide
Sanquilly makes artwear you can live in. Pieces use cotton, polyester, or blends (some with 5–10% spandex for stretch). Each product page lists exact content so you can choose what fits your preferences and values.
Materials
- Cotton: natural, breathable, slightly matte color; softens with wear.
- Polyester: smooth hand, crisp/vivid color; dries fast; used for most all-over prints.
- Poly/Spandex blends: stretch, recovery, and comfort for body-skimming fits.
Print methods
- DTG (Direct-to-Garment) on cotton: detailed color with a soft feel after the first wash. Note: a faint pre-treat box may appear before the first wash—normal.
- Cut-and-Sew Sublimation (All-Over Print) on polyester: artwork is dyed into the fabric for edge-to-edge, vibrant color. Seam note: small alignment variance at seams/plackets is normal.
- No DTF (Direct-to-Film): not used due to feel and durability preferences.
Care
Cotton / DTG
- Wash cold, inside-out, gentle cycle.
- Tumble low or hang dry.
- Avoid bleach and ironing directly on the print.
Polyester / AOP & Poly/Spandex
- Wash cold with similar colors.
- Hang dry or tumble low; avoid high heat to protect color and elasticity.
- Avoid fabric softener (can affect wicking and print).
Sustainability notes
All polyester fabrics shed microfibers over time. To reduce this:
- Use a Guppyfriend (or similar) wash bag and a gentle cycle.
- Wash cold and line dry when possible—better for garments and the planet.
